you should start answering questions with more detailed, informed information. frommadisenwithlove said she was frustrated because she wouldn’t be able to contact her roommate until summer and you responded with "That’s normal. I don’t see why this is news to you.” thats a rude, condescending response, especially because you contribute to this blog to be a helpful resource for lumberjacks. that girl has not been through the college process. she cannot be expected to know how everything works.

You do realize I’m a full-time student with numerous other commitments, right? It’s pretty common knowledge that you can’t get into contact with randomly assigned roommates until July. It’s not a condescending response. It’s honest and perhaps even lazy, but it wasn’t meant to be mean-spirited. I also cannot believe you think that I need to be more detailed. Have you seen the freshman master list? It took me four hours to complete and I usually update it every few months. I’ve answered hundreds of questions for countless students and I don’t think it’s fair to expect me to be cheery and nice 24/7. If you don’t like it, then you can unfollow me or block me. I could really care less.
