Orpheum
It is known to be without a doubt the largest music venue in Flagstaff. This not so subtle location is great for on-tour bands that pass through town. The vintage flashy sign is sure to catch your attention when you are passing through downtown. Complete with a bar, this venue has seating as well as room to get close to the stage.  The large indoor concert area is reminiscent of a movie theatre with about 200 fold-down seats. In front of the seats is a space to dance, jump, mosh-pit, or just stand awkwardly while your favorite band plays.

Sundara
Part coffee shop, part clothing store, part gallery and part music venue, this place is nearly impossible to miss out on. Most weekdays the average passerby would not take this small downtown coffee shop for much more than just that. However on a weekend night it is impossible to walk by and not hear some catchy tunes. The small door opens up to a clothing shop and the sweet aroma of coffee. Further back the room instantly opens up and to the stage where great local bands and lesser known artists grace the stage. This is a great place to relax and drink an espresso while listening to some tunes. A large variety of music is played here, so be prepared for anything.

Green Room
The Green Room is also located in Downtown Flagstaff and is infamous among college students as “the 21 and over place.” A great place for a drink, the green room boasts a large variety of beers and drinks. This venue is perfect for those looking for a good time and wanting to hear some music while they’re at it. Most of the bands here don’t have the biggest names in the industry but can be enjoyable to listen to. A range of karaoke nights to two-step Tuesdays to electronic music on some Friday nights is offered here.

Mad Italian
For those that like to dance this is the place to be. A definite club this venue showcases many of Flagstaff’s DJ’s. Expect the club classics that have been worn into your brain for years, but don’t cut the Mad Italian short yet. Some DJ’s have put on a show and the dance floor will fill up with mash-ups of your favorite songs. Worth the time to check out on a weekend, it is sure to be full of plenty of inebriated college students. On the weekdays, however, don’t expect more than a few locals at the bar.
